while book a has 1.30 — best_odds keeps 1.30 and consensus_prob

Why are the bookmakers called a and b?
The upstream source does not document their identity, and we refuse to guess. What we measure and guarantee: two distinct books, average vig 6.3% (a) and 5.3% (b) — b is the sharper one.
Are these closing odds?
No: pre-match recorded odds, neither strict opening nor closing. For timestamped odds, see the Line Movements 2026 dataset.
What happens after payment?
